Coral Flowers hand embroidery in a hoop with yarns and floss

Coral Flowers hand embroidery in a hoop with yarns and floss

A mini hoop (5 inches) with a linen fabric as a background. Coral Flowers as a main focal point. I love using embroidery floss, but again, texture is one of my favorite things to create in embroidery, so instead of embroidery floss, I used yarn. Variety of yarn is really can be limitless!

In this case, there is acrylic yarn, wool yarn, cotton yarn, etc. I am not after the precision of the stitches and impeccable spacing and thickness. On the contrary, soft colour and semi-thick stitched strokes is what adds interest to this and most importantly, that what interests me pursuing this art form.

Metallic beads on matt, fibrous background add a beautiful sparkle and interest.

 Lotus Flower monochromatic palette embroidery

I chose this monochromatic palette to play with texture as opposed to the color. I love the muted warm colors like browns, beiges, soft peaches and pinks, whites and creams. I prefer to add textural feel with the beads, sequins and additional elements.

Metallic DMC thread is also used in the background to create additional elements.

boredom and monotony.
